Each day that you plan to visit the Y, you will need to complete a COVID-19 Pre-Check-In Screening Questionnaire. This must be completed on the day of your visit, not the day before.

Tennis Courts (where available) must be reserved before your visit. Reservations can be made in the Y app or by visiting your branch webpage (click on locations above) and selecting Tennis Court Reservations.

FAQs
What do I need to know before I visit the Y?
  • Face masks are required for everyone ages 3 and up when entering the Y and in all common spaces when not exercising. (Please note - masks are optional for 2-year-olds, and masks are not recommended by the CDC for children under age 2).
  • You do not need to reserve a time to visit the Y wellness center.
  • Members will be admitted on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Group exercise classes, pool use and tennis courts (where available) require reservations 24 hours in advance.
  • Gym bags/Pool bags may be brought in to the Y, with guidelines based on the area of the facility you plan to visit.
  • Because the capacity of each Y facility has been reduced to adhere to safety guidelines, you may have to wait to enter the Y if we are at capacity when you arrive.
  • Please be patient and know that these protocols have been put in place for your safety and to accommodate as many members as possible each day.
  • You will need to complete a Pre-Check-In screening before coming to the Y.

What Should I Bring?
  • Please bring a mask, workout towel and water bottle.
  • Members will be required to wear a mask in all common areas where other members are present and whenever you are walking to and from the area where you will be working out. Masks do not have to be worn during your workout, but we recommend wearing a mask whenever safely possible to limit the spread of germs.
  • Water fountains are closed at this time, so you will need to bring your water with you.
  • Remember, you need to complete a health pre-screen prior to entering the Y. The screening is required to be completed each day that you visit the Y.

What Amenities are Available?
  • Wellness Equipment (Spaced Apart for Social Distancing)
  • Group Exercise
    • Capacity will be limited for social distancing.
    • Advance reservations are required for group ex classes.
    • Click here to find group ex schedules and reserve your spot.
  • Indoor Pools
    • Reserved lane use only. One adult per lane.
    • Lane reservations must be made in advance.

  • Tennis Courts where Available
    • Courts must be reserved in advance by visiting your branch webpage (click on locations above) and selecting Tennis Court Reservations. Or reserve your court in the Y app.
    • Tennis coaching is available, with restrictions, at locations with tennis courts.
  • Racquetball courts are open for singles play where available.
  • Batting cages are now open where available, with restrictions.
  • Additional amenities and areas of your Y may be available in addition to the list above.
  • All ages are now allowed into the Y.
  • Locker Rooms are open (masks and social distancing required)
  • Indoor Tracks are open where available (masks required)
  • Outdoor Pools are open (Check Location Pages for Pool Hours)
  • Play Centers are open at many Y branches.

    • If open, Play Center is open to ages 12 weeks through 12 years.
    • Temperature checks and pre-screening questionnaire required for all children attending the Play Center. Children age 3 and up are required to wear masks.

  • On October 5th, the following amenities will re-open at many branches: Whirlpools, Playgrounds, Teen Centers, Group Training and Vending Areas.
Which Areas Are Closed?
  • Saunas and steam rooms are closed at this time.
  • Play canters at some Ys are not open at this time. Visit ymcaatlanta.org/locations to visit your branch's webpage to see if the Play Center is open and check current hours.
  • Other areas of your Y may be closed at this time. Please contact your branch with questions.

Temperature Checks & Pre-Screening
All members will have their temperature taken prior to check in, and staff will also receive daily temperature checks. Members will also complete a health pre-screen prior to entering the Y.


Wipe Down Equipment
Use the cleaning materials provided. Wipe equipment before and after your workout.


Keep Your Distance
Respect all signs regarding social distancing. Stay at least six feet away from others.


Expect Reduced Capacity
At times of full capacity, you will be asked to wait in a designated area until space is available.


Wear Your Mask
We ask that members wear their own masks or face coverings, except during strenuous exercise.


Stay Home if You’re Sick
If you are not feeling well, please stay home. CDC and state guidelines encourage seniors and other vulnerable populations to stay home at this time.
